Banana Split Cake!

My mom’s recipe for Banana Split Cake isn’t actually cake at all but it is delicious!! It is creamy, cool and refreshing. It is a great dessert anytime of the year, but we usually have it at our Easter Picnic along with hot dogs/brats and cabbage au gratin. It is the perfect picnic recipe!

Banana Split Cake
For this recipe, you will need:

Butter!!! 1/2 cup for crust and 1/2 cup for filling.

2 cups confectioner’s sugar

2 eggs

1 package of graham crackers, crushed or eyeball graham cracker crumbs

1 container cool whip or whipped cream

Small amount chopped walnuts

Maraschino cherry halves


Melt or soften 1/2 cup of butter, mix with graham cracker crumbs. Press into your dish firmly, freeze for 5 minutes


Beat 1/2 cup softened butter, 2 cups confectioner’s sugar, and 2 eggs with an electric mixer for 5 minutes. Spread over crust. Freeze for 5 minutes. (don’t melt the butter for this part or it won’t whip up like it’s supposed to.

Slice 3-4 bananas and put on top of the cake.

Cover bananas with cool whip, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and place maraschino cherries on top. Keep it refrigerated until you are ready to serve.
